Re: Ungrateful at Christmas?

I've been thinking about this quite a bit lately. I've just entered the stage where Christmas lists stop being "things I want but can't afford" and start being "things I *need* but can't afford." It definitely isn't that I don't feel grateful (although in your case I see why you don't!), but it's still going to be kind of depressing on Christmas morning to open a pile of Boring Adult Things while my sister's opening a 3DS.

Anyway, here's a story that's more along the lines of ingratitude: I got a calculator for my 14th birthday, along with some Anne Rice books that my mom promptly decided were inappropriate and took back right after I got them. So I was left with the calculator, and actually it was a pretty expensive graphing calculator that was required for school, but I was 14 and hated math and school supplies kind of seemed like a bullshit present (still do tbh). I still consider it the worst gift I've ever gotten.
