Re: Question for People with Periods

Tampons, but only the kind without an applicator and only in the last six months or so. Before that I had only tried ones with an applicator and they were never comfortable, so I was pads all the way. I'm much happier now overall, because I'm less aware of being on my period. I think the cups are cool in theory, but they kind of weird me out because I don't have much of a sense of how it would actually work to use one. I've only known one girl who did.

I use a cup and they definitely take some getting used to. It's not as tricky as I thought it would be when I first started out, but you do have to get a feel for what folding method works best and how the cup works with your anatomy and what not. Definitely not for everyone, either, since you do have to be willing to put up with a bit of mess sometimes, and I know that squicks some people out.
