(Anonymous) 2012-12-20 04:11 am (UTC)(link)..oh well that is true you shouldn't act bored and just sit there and sip over the person. I guess I misunderstood. It seemed like the previous person was saying the fact that she was drinking during the intro made her greedy.
But drinking and whispering while someone was presenting is rude.
(eh I don't see a problem with drinking a soda though. *shrug* So long as you're polite to your speaker and not drinking alcohol.)
uh yeah I'd never just stuff a drink in my handbag..I keep papers in there ... WTF doesn't she care about her stuff? )

(Anonymous) 2012-12-20 04:30 am (UTC)(link)Eh, there's not really a problem with it being a soda, but it's just that it kinda looked less professional to say have a giant drive-through cup instead of a glass, and when you're already chatting with your co-presenter during your introduction, it exacerbates the image.
(INTO HER HANDBAG. I mean, she's an AUTHOR, mightn't she have important papers in there? Or flash drives? Or something that could be ruined by a drink mishap?!)
