I don't like Annie. :( When did she become fandom's darling?

Mostly people really like Annie for shipping purposes (Annie/Jeff which is the big one, Annie/Abed, Annie/Troy, Annie/Abed/Troy, Annie/Britta), which makes me sad. I actually hardly ever hear talk of her outside of the realm of shipping, like she's a doll or something :/

Also people think Allison Brie is really sexy I guess. She's pretty but not as pretty as Gillian Jacobs to me.

I feel like I'm the only person in fandom who actually *likes* Annie and Jeff separately as characters in their own rights, as well as together as a pair.

To be honest, Annie and Jeff occupy numbers 1 and 2, respectively, on my favorite-to-least-favorite character list.

[If people saw how low I rank Abed, there'd be wank for sure. Although his low ranking doesn't mean I hate the character, just that I think he pretty much ate "Community" during S3 and I'm pretty much sick of yet *another* exploration of Abed's psyche. In fact, my big wish for S4 is 50% less Abed, although going by the spoilers it doesn't look like I'll be getting that wish.]

I like them very much as characters in their own rights although not as big a fan of the pair. I don't think they're bad together or anything inherently (at many points I find them cute :D) but sometimes the way they're written (particularly in early S3-actually besides Remedial Chaos Theory and Geography of Global Conflict I like them fine) weirds me out.

Hey how you like the characters is how you like the characters, no shame in that :D I imagine for people who aren't the hugest fans of Abed a lot of S3 must have been kind of annoying and boring. Personally I'm pretty much in love with him for various reasons, but it's fine that you're not.

Honestly besides season 3 Chang I love everyone almost equally and all for different reasons <3 So I'm with you for wanting exploration of other characters because I love them ALL and it's an ensemble show at heart. Flesh out those ladies especially, Community! Your ladies are so talented so use it to your advantage!

Especially Britta and Annie's relationship-give them a plotline not to do with men! They've only had one! And I want to know both of their backstories so bad! I want to meet Annie's mom REALLY BAD. And Britta's parents and siblings and anarchist friends, even.

On a lot of days Britta is my favorite <3

I don't like Annie either! Or...I like her when she's in the Troy/Abed/Annie sphere or hanging out with Shirley, when she's with Britta I find her tolerable, when she's with (or obsessing over) Jeff I find her awful.

The writers have had trouble writing the Annie/Jeff thing imo for some reason. Same thing with her and Britta, they're always fighting over a guy and I don't like it.

Foosball and Nocturnal Vigilantism is a great episode though, I think she and Troy and Abed are really funny together.
