Re: Question for People with Periods
I feel like sex education during my formative years was awful. I never learned how to put on a condom either.
Anyway I like tampons. Pads make me feel like I'm wearing a diaper and they itch and I pretty much hate them. I was terrified learning how to put in a tampon the first time though. I had to do it in like seventh grade because I was the only girl who was having to walk during required swimming because I had my period but didn't know how to use tampons.
Middle school required swimming gym classes should not be allowed for the sake of the pride of thirteen year old girls.

(Anonymous) 2012-12-20 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)I didn't know this was a thing. I think I would have played hooky for all those classes D:

(Anonymous) 2012-12-20 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)However, I do recommend them if you want to try cups but don't want to spring for a reusable one. Insertion is quite similar to a tampon, and there's instructions on their box and an informative video on their website. At least with hoopskirt shaped cups, I believe it's just supposed to just rest against your pubic bone and create a barrier (you can allegedly wear Softcups during sex and many people swear by that but I never have), and it doesn't actually create any suction. AFAIK? Correct me please if I'm misinformed, f!s. Softcups are also good to keep in your bag(s) because I only have one Lunette and I keep it at home.
