Re: Question for People with Periods
(Anonymous) 2012-12-20 12:19 pm (UTC)(link)I use pads because, well, I've always used them and they're pretty comfy? I get these nice soft ones with aloe vera and the packaging is pretty and they do the job.
I've used tampons before, and I use them if say going swimming or wearing a skirt, but I don't like popping them up there and changing them every few hours whether there is flow or not. They also kind of irritate my skin when putting them in?
Never used a cup and can't really be bothered to try. Between pads and backup tampons in my bag, I'm pretty ready for my periods.
Now period focussed painkillers, THERE'S something I'm passionate about. The ones with the special ingredient that focusses on...some kind of hormone that tells your period muscles to relax.
FUCKING GENIUS
I CAN WALK AND THINK. My pain goes for less often! sometimes i can even go to work and they're pretty strong and last for 8 hours. Why did it take me 10+ years to discover this?! That's some 40 or so periods I could have used it for!
