When I watched I only really cried for about a day, but I definitely felt very hollow thinking about it for many weeks after. And it took me several months and many Who macros before I was able to watch that scene again.

Sometimes people just really connect with fictional characters and events. And a lot of people have been reduced to bawling messes over that particular episode, so I don't really think there's anything abnormal about it or the OP.
