Okay, anon, I think we are officially each other's clones! (Except I never say Sword in the Stone or Robin Hood, but I blame my clone parents for that.) Love, love, love Sleeping Beauty - just a gorgeous film. I can go on and on about that one, about Maleficent, the beautiful scenery and the sky when she goes up into her tower to smite them all... Sleeping Beauty is still my favorite.

As for the horseys, I think Maximus edges out Samson slightly, but I like to think they'd co-exist well with each other.

Anon clone high five! The animation in Sleeping Beauty still blows me away to this day. That, combined with the soundtrack and the voice acting... ugh, so amazing. All of the side characters are great, too! I love the Kings and the drunken minstrel, lol. I agree with you about the scene with Maleficent on the tower. The whole climax of that movie is just freaking awesome. I have no words.

Maximus definitely wins it for me, too, but I love them both to pieces. I like your idea about Maximus being Samson's progeny. I am definitely keeping that as my new headcanon.
