Hah, I figured it would be for fandoms I'm not in. I don't watch Supernatural, but what the hey, I've read a few J2 fics, and if it's AU anyway...links would be appreciated :D

That's always the way it goes, lol. Forewarning, I tend to gravitate towards long fic, so these are all pretty lengthy.

Supernatural:

• Kids in the Riot (http://deancastiel.livejournal.com/2481385.html#cutid1) - Political AU with some bonus terrorists and spies thrown in. It works in a lot of canon elements, but I don't think you need to be familiar with the series at all to follow it. It's a bit more Tom Clancy-ish than a straight-up political AU, but it's a good read.

J2:

• Talking Points (http://danny.talkoncorners.net/rpf/talkingpoints.shtml) - Jensen is Texas' Lieutenant Governor and Jared is an undercover reporter who takes a job as his press secretary.
  
  
• Half Truths and Whole Lies (http://rocketslash.livejournal.com/23187.html#cutid1) - I haven't read this one yet, so I can't vouch for it, but it has Jensen as an ex-journalist and Jared as an ex-Democratic speech writer who's been hired to help co-write Jensen's memoirs... could be interesting?
  
  
• Know Your Damn Constituents (http://archiveofourown.org/works/81058/chapters/108237) - I haven`t gotten a chance to read this one either, but it`s campaign fic and the summary sounds like it could be awesome.

Jensen/Misha:

• Of Love and Other Political Affairs (http://archiveofourown.org/works/556574?page=1#comments) - Misha is running for President and Jensen works as his personal assistant. It's a wee bit soap-operaish in places, but it's a good read overall.
