Well, it is a little odd. I mean, if you're arguing about whether what he went through outweighs what he got in the end, it really does help to know what happened.

I didn't make that argument though? I just said that IF he really did go through a lot of shit (as OP implied) THEN you can't just say money makes up for that.

But the words "a lot of shit" are some vague and subjective, and particular to the person involved, as is 'having a lot of money.' You can't argue that in the abstract.
