Yeah, we've been best friends for about ten or eleven years now and have lived together for three. She knows I'm a lesbian, I've been in relationships with girls before. And it's only within the last few months that I've felt anything different for her, very different from anything before.

None of our relationships with other people ever last more than a few months, and we always make semi-serious jokes about being together for the rest of our lives because we're so codependent. It's like we're already in a relationship, but without all of the romance. And the fact that everyone assumes we're together doesn't really help, especially when she laughs it off. Knife to the chest, for real.

Phew! I don't think I've actually ever talked that through before...
