This does make me wonder (a) how exactly it would make you look like an idiot if you don't know someone knows something *when they haven't told you they do* (b) do you hold your self to the same incredibly harsh standard and (c) how many friends do you actually have? a. In the case I"m remembering, because they then were talking about it in detail on facebook.

b. Of course. Why on earth would I lie about something like if I knew a tv show or not?

c. Of my present friends at least as far as I know, none are lying about shit like this. Why would they? why would anyone?

I think lying to me would be a damn good reason to end a friendship though. It's lying to me in general, this way or otherwise. And I wouldn't lie to them period.
