Super excited about the fact he might come back for the 50th anniversary!

Is this something new? He said a few months ago that he wouldn't be willing to do it and reiterated that he's put Doctor Who behind him. He had some good things to say about Moffat and I know a lot of fans think that because the people he had the most trouble with are gone that he might come back, but he's also said some of the problems came from working on a serial programme for the BBC and he isn't willing to do it again.

I also got the impression from interviews that he really... didn't like playing The Doctor. And honestly, in some episodes that kind of comes across. Of course, it could've just been that the article twisted a statement he made or something.

He absolutely hated playing the Doctor. He had a lot of problems with RTD and other people on the show and at the BBC. He kept mostly quiet about it for a long time but finally confirmed it all in a couple of interviews. I think the first one was about a year ago, but my memory isn't the greatest. I do remember that he said the process of making the show was also a problem, that it wasn't just limited to personalities. He also said some pretty strong stuff about RTD, but I can't remember exactly what and I'm not comfortable quoting the Daily Mail articles that are the only thing I can access right this second. I know some of it had to do with the friendship between RTD and Phil Collinson, which other people have said is a problem if one or the other doesn't like you or if you don't have the exact same opinions they do. They've been described by some of the Queer as Folk production staff as bullies and both have a history of not getting along with older/more experienced actors.

Hi, person that originally made the super excited statement. To be honest, I have no idea. I've seen a collection of posters with saying "WHO is coming back?" and Nine's clothing is clearly one of them. HOWEVER, I saw these on Tumblr, and on another occasion, Tumblr caused me to believe that Dean and Castiel of Supernatural were canonically married or at least dating and that's why Castiel is an Angel of Purgatory SO I am entirely willing to agree I might have simply been fooled by fanon again.

Thanks for your reply! Those posters are amazing but yeah, they're fanon :(
