Isn't stating ANY belief with any amount of certainty meaning they think others are wrong though? Christians believe those who believe in reincarnation are wrong and it's a 'lie'. Might be more tactful though. But then there are assholes in every belief system or lack thereof.

Deep down, back when I was a christian, I'd have possibly felt- though not said outloud the same thing on reincarnation as Op does on heaven. I -liked- the idea of reincarnation- getting more chances to get it right and avoid hell. More chances to live. To 'retake the test' as it were if things went down badly. But the idea it was true? Nah, I can't say I seriously entertained the notion for long.

And eh, if they ask specifically what you think of the concept of heaven, well sometimes people choose to be honest and there are harsher ways to say they don't believe in it. The afterlife or lack thereof can be conclusions reached for variously personal reasons as simple as a gut feeling. This way of saying it seems sad in a way to me- like they wish it was true but it isn't. I can relate to that feeling even from back when I was a believer.

Though to me, heaven is a very small price to pay for there not to be a hell.

Not all Christians. Some Christians, including the late Pope, believe that there are many roads (aka beliefs) to the truth.

Yeah, I know C.S. Lewis said you could look at different religions and still see the same truths in them.
