The OP didn't necessarily say they looked at their profile pages. The authors could just be saying "I'm a blah, blah, blah, blah - go read my fics -> link" on a fandom site. Or the author could link directly to their profile when advertising their fics. Or the author could have originally introduced themselves to the fandom as such and then started writing fics later on.

Stuff like that.

Ah, now that I go back and look at the wording of the secret, I guess you're right, they said "like someone whose Tumblr profile..." and was thinking "Well, isn't where that kind of thing is supposed to go?" But indeed, that was an example, my bad.
