Re: The Next Doctor?

Matt Smith doesn't have a very strong grasp on the Whoniverse, tbh. He's also not very bright, is somewhat sexist, and painfully unworldly - basically the worst traits for the person portraying the Doctor.

It is entirely possible for the Doctor to regenerate as a woman. There is also a good chance that Matt Smith's replacement will be a woman because the BBC is under enormous pressure after having a male Doctor and a male companion with only one female companion and a recurring female who has appeared in less than 25% of the episodes. Because of how the BBC operates, their balance and equality regulations influence casting and production staffing. With all the corporate shuffling going on, it's probable that Moffatt will be replaced by a woman within the next two years (and most likely within the next 12 months). It's less likely that the next Doctor will be a woman, but it is infinitely more possible than Matt Smith, Moffatt, and most fans think.

I'm pretty sure most of the Doctors haven't. They're not exactly fans, just actors. Tennant being a pretty notable exception.

He's also not very bright, is somewhat sexist, and painfully unworldly - basically the worst traits for the person portraying the Doctor.

And I'm sure the actor who plays the villain from Django Unchained is not a white supremacist. It is acting, after all. And I can think of a number of important traits that NONE of the Doctor's actors have had: namely, immortality, a long lifespan, infinite knowledge, boundless compassion, etc.

That said, I would like to see the quotes you're talking about where he's sexist.
