Mh? My fandom's best writers all post on Tumblr (and crosspost to AO3). Then again, my fandom's basically all on Tumblr, so they're reaching their intended audience.

I don't count cross-posters. At least they have the sense to cross-post. I get posting on Tumblr to reach followers and all, but if the only place they post is Tumblr it's basically like reader suicide.

But this is only my experience and Supernatural fandom has more shitty writers than good ones anyway.

What sucks is if they only post to tumblr *and* don't have a masterpost. Even a designated fic tag helps, but that's still a lot of wading to do.
