I thought I wasn't going to like this show but then I saw an episode where they made a Totoro reference.

Aw, I love Bob's Burgers too!

Well, they're all a little odd but I agree that calling them dysfunctional might be a bit much (but hoo boy, that definitely would have applied if Fox had gone with the original concept for the show: that the family used human meat for their burgers and were evading the law. Fox shot it down obviously, but the pilot still gives a lot of nods to that original idea)

I didn't think I'd like the show at first but I'm really glad I gave it a chance. The first episode I saw was the one where Bob hid in the walls to escape his mother in law. The whole episode cracked me up

And all of Tina's fanfic, omg.

Well obviously they're messed-up and strange. Normal and nice would be boring. But they function well as a family, and as a business, so dysfunctional really isn't the right word.

Archer, on the other hand, is all about the dysfunctional relationships and families.

bob's burgers is a fantastic, hilarious, totally endearing show. i hope seasons 2 and 3 get to netflix soon.
