Isn't 3 not a secret? From what I can gather, the not!secrets that go in the failbar end up there most of the time because they're phrased like fact, without an opinionated 'I'. OP of 3 states 'they need to leave', not 'I think they should/want them to leave'.

...Or maybe I'm just really confused about how this all works. *noob*

I think (and correct me if I'm wrong) that it's like the "I ship it" secrets: it's failbar fodder if it's just "Alice and Bob are my OTP", but if you add more information (e.g., why you ship it), it goes in the main post. #3 explains exactly why OP thinks they should leave, so that might have been why it was accepted.
