Re: Literary piracy

No, not shitty at my job. Piratebay doesn't have any of the titles I search for. I looked at their site, though, and they seem majorly smug and obnoxious. I hope they get hacked like other sites which wouldn't respond to DMCA notices.

So, how about you? How come you know so much about Piratebay? Do you steal from authors? Do you like being stolen from, yourself?

Not being aware if piratebay is pretty fucking egregious if your job concerns internet piracy. It makes me absolutely confident you are ineffective concerning the sites that would have the content you're supposed to be protecting.

I have never used piratebay and have pirated one thing I didn't end up purchasing later ever and I did that out of spite. Because I'm lucky enough to have access to everything I've wanted and haven't had issues with the companies that profit off the artists I want to support.

Piracy is a complicated issue that is not the black and white morality gauge you want it to be.

Yeah, I gotta agree with the other anon. If your job involves keeping tabs on Internet piracy and you didn't already know about piratebay, you are incredibly shitty at your job.
