And this is supposed to prove what? I had some asshole tell me that it was okay to be morbidly obese because his grandfather had survived the Holocaust and married the hugest fat chick he could find afterwards, because his first, thin wife had died in Auschwitz, so clearly, being morbidly obese was healthy.

Such arguments, however hilarious, are still appalling.

...what? That was nothing like the above story. If you're going to dig up some comparison at least find one that makes sense.

Kid bullying a blind man doesn't equal a holocaust survivor trying to avoid the trauma of a wife starving again.

No, I didn't say they were like each other, except in the general theme of: stories that have no demonstrable connection in the logic.

Just to be 100% clear, the actual topic at hand was the healthfulness or not-healthfulness of being morbidly overweight. I acknowledge the fact that the man was trying to avoid that trauma--more power to him--but the kid was actually trying to tell me that based on that act, it was healthy.
