Yes, women can be creepy too, but it doesn't sound like OP has crossed that line. It sounds like they've made a real effort not to make the guy uncomfortable. I'm with the people who think OP should be straightforward and then respect whatever response they get.

See now, I got agree with Chard, it sounds like the exact opposite to me.

hell, in my younger days, before I met that horrible harpy (love you honey), I WAS in one would be realtionship the fixated guy that TRIED REALLY HARD not to be overbearing.

Guess why she lost interest in me? I was a OVERBEARING CLINGY SMOTHERING FUCKNUT. Thankfully during her final rant she actually said some shit about my family that would have made me not like her even if the rest of it was going perfect, and any crushing heartache turned into "good riddance bitch, dodge this bullet" really fast. In my infatuation I'd overlooked some flaws and she wasn't so perfect after all. Which is not to ignore that I'd fucked up any kind of relationship by this point.

Now, could all this be Projection? Possibly.

But this sounds reallll familiar. Embarrassing by proxy familiar.
