When I was about 2, I had a baby doll named Wilber. I couldn't pronounce Wilber and so I called him Mulder instead.

My parents and all their friends used to get a huge kick out of me carrying around my baby doll and calling him Mulder.

We did this same thing to a friend's first child, actually. We even gave him a plush fox named 'Mulder', to encourage him.

He grew up to be a fine young man, though.
