Mmmph, you're probably right. If it was explained that way, instead of people responding to a proposed sexual-violence article by immediately condemning the writer as human slime, I wouldn't have lost my temper.

Oh, haha, I guess that can be explained by the fact that the users were originally 4chan members, and I do believe the community grew up with that kind of flavor as a result. So you see a lot of people who don't really interact with humanity the same way tumblr users or users around here would. I wouldn't hold it against the mods, though.
