I don't think other people hated the rare pairs in the show. All I meant was that most of the fic/vids/fanart I saw at the time was dedicated to the show's main pairing. Which is certainly understandable especially given how much attention they got in canon, but they held no appeal for me personally. I was merely lamenting the fact that a show so rich with shipping potential had a fandom that was largely interested in only one ship. That isn't why I left the fandom, though. I just got bored with the show and stopped watching.
