Favorite Artists' Flubs

(I didn't want to post this over Christmas since it seemed to grouchy to be seasonal.)

So, some of my favorite artists recently posted a brand new Christmas illustration for one of my favorite childhood series. How great! How nice of them! And the illustration's beautiful, too --




Ohmahgawd, why is her right eye migrating off of her face?

So, F!S: Have any of your favorite comic book or manga artists ever really dropped the ball? (And we're not talking weird stylistic choices here -- we're talking straight-up bizarre anatomy, body parts where they shouldn't be, and sheer disregard for the rules of decent art.)

They released a Sakura&Tomoyo illustration a few weeks ago that looked pretty good (clamp-now.livejournal.com/741797.html), but there was another Sakura&Syaoran illustration released earlier this fall that was absolutely hideous (http://clamp-now.livejournal.com/738099.html). Necks and torsos don't tilt that way!

Watchmen. Fairly realistic comic style, right? Then there's a shark and it looks like a god damned pool toy. Grinds my gears.

Oh man, Akira Himekawa (the name used by the two artists who draw the Legend of Zelda manga) does that same migrating eye thing! This is the cover of the Skyward Sword prequel manga in Hyrule Historia - poor Hylia looks like a flounder. And this is from an Ocarina of Time short, and... I don't even know what's happening to their faces. Zelda, honey, your left eye appears to be making a run for it...

I mean, I love Himekawa, but what is happening to those eyes...

I don't know if this counts, but every so often I like to go through the "error" tag on Danbooru. (e: some nsfw stuff in link) It's something of a goldmine.
