Actually, I think that they are trying to say that getting called out in the way that people do it these days (vitriolic and dogpiling) is much less effective in making someone really think about what they've written than a more reasoned approach. I suppose, in a way, they have a point, since you see as many undeserved attacks as deserved ones. A lot of people eventually become inured to any sort of hostility and don't bother to examine whether it's earned or not.

Additionally, I don't think that posting somebody's picture/address/IP and following them through multiple communities is in ANY way appropriate, even if the person was like, actively going around saying that all black people are apes and should go back to Africa, get AIDS and die (and I've seen very few people who ended up getting dogpiled by SJWs say anything even CLOSE to that offensive).
