..."transgendered" is problematic? Crap.

Apparently it's better to use "transgender" or just trans (with or without asterisk). I just picked that example because I'd been on another site where one commenter (respectfully) corrected another over it. ETA: And because that seems like the kind of thing someone could very easily get wrong while trying to engage respectfully, especially since I know that there are at least some trans* people who *do* use transgendered for themselves. It also seems like the sort of honest mistake that a certain type of SJW would froth and send out death threats over.

A quick Google brings up this discussion of the difference between the two, but I'll see if I can find a better source if I have time later: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/joanne-herman/transgender-or-transgende_b_492922.html

True fact - When you realize you're genderqueer, you automatically get signed up to receive a pamphlet once a month updating you with the latest PC terms for yourself. So you don't accidentally oppress yourself. If you mess up, don't worry, there will be plenty of SJWs to 'correct' you.

By "correct", do you mean "follow you from community to community in an attempt to get you banned, and accuse you of being a self-hating bigot who has internalized their homophobia"?

LOL.

Or rather, since you don't, future opportunities for "correction" and conflict abound. I swear, the amount of harassment, grief, and drama that non-normative people inflict on each other is one of the many headaches that het, white males don't have to deal with. What's really ironic is that *that* example of the privilege of not being harassed ... is completely optional. It's not the larger society's fault if we're allowing other minority-identified people to be abusive shits with us and each other.
