Eh? I'm more of a fan of the Solids but I wouldn't consider anyone an outlier or anything for liking the original Metal Gears (or their music) more than them. I mean, everyone has their own tastes, and yours are for the first two games. No prob with that. Just like how some people like the earlier Mario or Zelda games better, no beef.

I just wish I could have actually beat the first. For some reason it kept glitching so that Jennifer never gave me the rocket launcher even though I fulfilled the requirements and I got stuck.

Man I just played through MG1 and 2 MSX and jesus god they have not aged well at all.

MGS1 still holds up well though!

Don't worry, OP, I was really taken in with the MG2 soundtrack. Spiral, Wavelet, and Natasha's (Gustava's) Death especially stand out. I would just stay on the rooftap for seemingly hours before I caught that stupid pigeon just to hear Under the Cover of Darkness on loop.

Also, I tend to revisit the MG games more than the MGS games. Not that the MGS games are any less fun, but I find the older ones more...I dunno, enjoyable?
