I'd suggest, when you have the conversation with her, approach it from the perspective of your own experiences in childhood with your name. Tell her some of the ways that kids made fun of your name, or that adults mispronounced or misspelled your name, and how you felt about it all. Then ask her if she thinks her daughter is likely to run into similar problems with the chosen name. Give her some examples of ways the name could be twisted by cruel children. Emphasize that it's a lovely name by itself, but that it has certain potential pitfalls.
