The thing about Breaking Bad is that, unlike Mad Men, they are actually trying to get you to root for these people instead of just observe how terrible their lives are, and they mostly succeed because at first they're so likeable and their situation makes sense. It took a long time for me to turn against Walter White, and there's still Jesse Pinkman, who is basically the reason I stay, omg.
