This is why people dislike childfree people. This is a conversation about being a parent who participates in fandom and the less than exhilarating moments of parenthood. And you chose this place to stand on your soapbox and proclaim how much worse the childfree have it, as if anyone cares. By turning the conversation around to your problems and dismissing the OP's, you are part of the reasons someone might not choose to share that they are a parent in fandom. And you seem to think because you don't hate kids that makes it okay.

OP, if you mean seekers-having-babies, have you checked out Aeos on the kinkmeme or Nine Rings of Vos on LJ? They are both pretty awesome.

actually I think they were just correcting a misconception I made, which is not really wrong. I mean if someone said something like "X people have no real problems" there's nothing wrong with correcting them. I actually respect that they did it nicely ,which you don't see enough in online conversations.

When you're hormonal and someone is sucking vital fluids from your body (or you're being accused of child abuse becayse you're not providing said vital fluids) the last thing you want to hear is "but but but at least society approves of your choice!" I can see where the OP would want to skip that conversation altogether.

childfree anon

Seriously, you're the one who seems to describing parenthood as a terrible thing here, not me.

Right, anon, and you sound like you're super-keen for kids. You're attacking the ayrt for pointing out the pressures placed on them to have a child, and then whining in the same breath about how your baby "sucks the life" out of you. Either you're a bleedingly obvious troll, or you're actually proving ayrt's point about pressures to have children.

Guess what? You *chose* to have a child; now you've got to deal with it and make a shitton of sacrifices, not the least of which is having a living being inside of you. Grow up, for heaven's sake.

also where exactly did the anon say anything to diminish the problems child having folks have? I don't see that. Their post was directed at me not the OP.

Childfree anon here

Glad that was clear (at least to you!)

I have nothing against the OP, clearly, and the way they use fandom as a release. I think that's a pretty normal thing to do!

AYRT.

Ehm, no....

I chose to react to something a non-childfree person said about childfree people in this thread.

If that wasn't the case, I wouldn't have reacted at all.
