For me, I usually try o copy something from someone else's work about a million times while adding my own variation of it along the way. And also seconding what everyone else has said; draw and draw and draw. Try and doodle whenever you have any free time, as each and every single drawing effort counts.

I'm still learning, but at least by now I am able to draw basic people shapes and elaborate plants (see my page for examples) and I am confident that with enough time and practice, I will be able to excel even more.

And subscribe away! I'm currently working on a small piece but due to family issues and holidays I've been cut off from drawing for a while. I hope I'll be able to complete it by the end of the month.
