(Anonymous) 2013-01-01 05:35 am (UTC)(link)And since the secret is directed primarily at non-Japanese consumers of Japanese media, I don't see why talking about it on the internet is useless. I think the point OP was trying to make was about how non-Japanese anime fans believing that Japan is some sort of magical utopia of LGBT tolerance, and that belief blinding them to the cues in Japanese media that it isn't.
I feel like you're trying to say the same thing as the anon upthread, "it wasn't made for or about you so you don't get to criticize it," but more eloquently...
