Ooh, ooh, we got a companion from my country once!

...And Tegan had such a strong accent compared to the BBC English that it took me a few episodes to realise that the actress really was from Brisbane and wasn't a Brit putting the accent on.

But yeah, Australia hasn't got much in the actual show. Plenty of comics and stories, a character or two here and there, but somewhat short on full TV stories set here...

I remember reading the book for The Enemy of the World and being... under-whelmed. Tegan made me happy though especial a joke I vaguely recall about the discussion of the Zero Room - it's a room cut off from all of Time and Space. Tegan thought it sounded like Brisbane.

I am a Brisbanite, though I wasn't when I read that line. I have been assured by my mother that, at the time we lived here in the early 80s (I was all of 3), the city was more like an overgrown country town.
