With interracial relationships in the U.S., I think it's more of a generational thing. I'm in my 30s and most of the people I know in my generation really don't make a big deal out of it. One of my sisters and most of my cousins are in interracial relationships or have been in the past. My nephew is mixed and the majority of my cousins have mixed children. Most of the people who make a big deal of it are in my parents' and grandparents' generation, and the majority of them are fairly conservative. There are definitely still people who are assholes about it, but you can see a definite difference in attitudes as you go down in age.

Unfortunately, you now got the rabid-SJWs against interracial relationships, though, those might be trolls.

At least, I hope they're trolls because otherwise it's just scary.

... seriously? I would hope that those people are all just really young people who spend far too much time on Tumblr and don't have much experience with real life (or activism off the Internet). Because otherwise, that's just kind of disgusting.

In my experience, people in my generation (teens and college kids) care quite a lot about it. Maybe it's a geographical location thing, though, I'm in a fairly conservative area of the south.
