To be honest, I think the entire Internet is incredibly US-centric. Whenever I talk to an American online, they're always like, "So, which state do you come from?", as if it never occurred to them that people from other countries even had Internet access.

Strangely I have never encountered that, but I do wonder the reaction when I say I'm from Queensland (well, NSW ex-pat, but I've been up here for nigh on 15 years now, which is almost half my life).
