I kinda get that. A lot of my friends (who I didn't crush on but damn it, they were my friends!) left the fandom we shared for the Naruto fandom. And I found that I felt for Naruto much the way you do about Doctor Who. I simply couldn't get into it, no matter how hard I tried.

And eventually I kinda got a hateboner for Naruto, because, damn it, how could they all get into this canon where it takes 30 chapters and 8 interminably pointless fights for the characters to accomplish something as simple as walking from one village to another. And also, I missed being able to talk with them. Kinda a lot.
