I've gotten into crafting more over the past year, and because of this I read a lot of boards and forums. I get annoyed by the cutesy abbreviations that some of the people use, like "embellies" for embellishments, or "digis" for digital images.

But the one thing that makes me want to set things on fire is "hubby." I hate it SO MUCH.

Oh god. Hubby. Ugh. There's a certain kind of homemaker/crafter message board/blog where DH/MDH show up, and I was kind of disgusted when I realized it meant Dear Husband/My Dear Husband. I dunno why, I'm not usually anti-romance or anti-pet names (except when people use 'baby' to refer to non-children), but I associate it with syrupy cloying sentimentality and people who collect Precious Moments figurines now.

I used to lurk in a message board where some people liked it for its versatility--it could mean Damn Husband, depending on your mood.

I loved Precious Moments when I was little.

Hubby and Wifey drive me craaaaaaazy. Although you see wifey in completely different contexts, usually, BUT UGH.
