I just think it's cool to have an Asian-American player character, and, come to think of it, a game with hardly any white people and that doesn't make it a big deal. Games are branching out, and it makes me happy.

thiiiis.

i'm just glad it's not another generic brown-haired white dude.

Agreed.

Oh well, at least it's pretty cool to have a non-white starring protagonist, with very little attention paid top the fact.

04 I get that you're trying to make a point about HONG KONG or whatever but there are plenty of Chinese-Americans so it makes just as much "sense", stop being butthurt (and plenty of people from Hong Kong chose to emigrate to the United States instead of the UK, my mom worked with a guy from Hong Kong who did just that)

See I presumed that the focus was also Hong Kong Police, and the very specific and unique relationship that existed there, more so then anything else.

See, the people fron HongKong would be a part of the police force in the city they immigrated to. HongKong was a British colony so I get why OP thinks a Chinese-British in the HongKong police force makes more sense.

Honestly, it made me do an eyebrow rise.

You know it's for the same reason that everything out of Japan has to have at least a half Japanese main character. It doesn't make a damn bit of sense, but there you go. They want their perceived market to relate to the character somehow.

considering the track record with these things we should just be glad they deigned to make him chinese at all
