I am moving out of my parents house in February and I am ridiculous excited about that! I have never lived by myself before! :D

Thank you! I suspect after the shiny wears off I'll be thinking "oh my god why was this a good idea?!" but that's okay. I need my own place. :>

Good luck and congrats! I lived by myself for nearly three years and the biggest thing is to just try and plan nights out with people, even if it's just sitting out your place/their place to watch TV. Maybe it's just me being a pretty social person but I definitely got really lonely being myself all the time.

Yeah, I'm going to try to host card game nights! Probably Munchkin, but also Magic. And (not a card game but) Dungeons & Dragons. :3

Plus, I'm allowed to have pets so that'll definitely help with the loneliness. \o/

Ah pets would have definitely helped, but we weren't allowed to have pets.

I'm back at home now (saving some money to buy my own house) so we try to have board game nights once a month. It's so much fun and way cheaper than going out all the time.

Congrats!

Biggest realization when I first moved out by myself: I'm the ONLY person available for ALL the chores. It kinda sucked until I got a routine going.

Also, a pet helps with the loneliness (and you can blame weird noises in the night on them instead of staying up all night wondering what the weird noises are).
