Screw it.

I was going to wait a little longer before posting but whatever.

Yesterday, I discovered that the song "The Misty Mountains," from The Hobbit, can be sung to the tune of "Call to Advent."

Here is my (somewhat worse-than-average) attempt to sing said tune on Vocaroo. Fair warning, my mike fucked up so it's loud and there's a lot of background noise. On the other hand, I was trying to sing a bass line in an alto register and I'm pretty sure this is about as good as it'll get.

(Somebody else with a better singing voice should post their version, just sayin'.)

Also, the "Azog loves his pet warg" got prompted on the kink meme. I don't have easy access to it here but it's on page 28 of the second prompt post.

It's my last day of winter break before I go back to school! Oh boy.

I love hearing fs people's voices! Now I wish everyone else would sing 'Misty Mountains Cold' too. (Or alternatively, the Song of the Lonely Mountain.)

I hope you get a fill! I'll definietly read it if you do. (You just reminded me I need to check on a prompt I left...)

Oh. D: Good luck?

We should have every sing it (the original tune, which is somewhat easier, at least for me) and then put it all together at once. (I mean, it might never happen, but it's a fairly cool thought.)

There's a surprising amount of interest considering that it sounds like something somebody thought of when they were drunk.

Thanks for the luck. Have a presentation due Friday and I have no idea how well it's going to go.

It is! FS has done a few of those, but I'm not sure if there's been a finished product from any of them yet.

Pfft, you've been to kink memes! That isn't even close to the weirdest thing fandom has seen.

I'm sure you'll be fine!

Might throw something up there tomorrow or this weekend or whenever I get the chance. As long as there's an option to download recordings that aren't your own, I have some middling video-editing software that doubles as a rudimentary audio-editing thinger too.

(Ahahaha don't I know it.)

Thanks for the encouragement.... whether or not it's warranted remains to be seen. :)

late but i just listened to this and it's really good, good job. you have a really nice voice

the tune also really brings me back to going to church when i was a wee child so there's that influencing me but seriously it's great
