it's all in your attitude. if you're dragged to a club and think, ugh i hate this. this music sucks. i hate everyone - then, yeah, you're gonna have a bad time.

also, drinking is fun. i fucking love being drunk. when i'm drunk, i'm finally able to *talk* to people. i DO do fun things when out and drunk, i talk about everything with people i'm usually too shy to approach otherwise and you know what? i make friends that way sometimes. all i really need to feel comfortable with somebody is to have at least one good chat and no1curr if it's when drunk. for me, it means i have an easier time talking to them normally (i.e. sober) and so do they.

while i'm not opposed to "cake and games" parties, they're way harder for me. like you said, you have to *talk to people* and it's fucking *hard* to do. it's guaranteed to be awkward for at least the first half hour or so. i'm also easily embarrassed and trust me, saying something mind-numbingly dumb or ignorant (by accident or otherwise) gets judged way harder and remembered way better when you're sober, whereas when drunk it's kinda... expected, almost.

when y'all are drunk, tho? everyone is friendly and makes you feel welcome. and, provided they remember the night before, they continue being friendly to you because hey, you were that ~friend they made the other night.

p.s. i'm very curious/nosy so it's fun to have people tell me how they've been in orgies and stuff
