I played with different beliefs on an intellectual level for years, never really believing in any of it, until suddenly I realized what I did believe. It's the complete opposite of rational, and it's the opposite of finite, and now I couldn't change it if I tried. It's made me realize the difference between thoughts and beliefs, and that you can never really know where your beliefs will end up.
