That's interesting. I find the idea of infinity terrifying and the whole idea of an afterlife scary as hell. When I was a kid and my grandma dragged me to church and they would talk about heaven I would ask questions like "wouldn't you get bored of everything after awhile?" Youth pastors and Sunday school teachers would say stuff like "a minute in Heaven is like a thousand years on earth" but when you are talking about infinite afterlife the entire concept of time doesn't even matter anymore. I still can't fathom the idea of existence going on and on forever, the idea of a finite life is way more comforting and less scary to me

I guess I don't feel like I'd run out of things to do, even if I had a really, really long time.

Though this is why I like the idea of reincarnation most: part of you lives on in someone else, but you get to start over every time.
