Re: FANFIC post Part 1 & 2 (hopefully I posted this correctly)

Not really "weird", but you didn't include genfic in your genre list, so there's that! Maybe you could also add darkfic and hurt/comfort fic, since they're both such ubiquitous genres? (Maybe kidfic too? IDK if it's common enough to warrant a mention, but I've seen it in a lot of fandoms.)

And you might want to add an explanation of the difference between OC and OOC since a lot of newbie fanfic writers seem to get those terms mixed up.

And I think it should be noted that fluff is also sometimes called WAFF ("Warm and Fluffy Feelings").

I will add kidfic because that has two meanings (character as kids OR characters with kids). Darkfic I am abit unclear of what the definition would be. Hurt/Comfort I know. I might add genfic (is it self explanatory or...?). I don't want to add genres that people will know what they are by the name (Romance, Humor, Drama, Angst, etc).

Gen probably should be self-explanatory, but I've encountered a surprising number of people who thought it was interchangeable with het, or that it just means "fic that isn't slash". Even though the proper definition is more like "fic that isn't primarily focused on romantic relationships of any kind".

As for darkfic, I think the fanlore article explains it pretty well: http://fanlore.org/wiki/Darkfic
