Holy shit thanks for reccing this! I'm on the fourth episode already.

Okay the art is VERY stylised, but frankly I've waded through worse in the anime genre. That and the holograms and details are very interesting.

Only bad things is there aren't many women, and those that do exist are love interests/eye candy.

HOWEVER I'm so pleased with the variety of race I'm seeing that I'm willing to overlook it. Seriously, in so many of these things you get one black character friend and then the mass of white characters in the background, I love looking over the crowd scenes and seeing Asian, South-Asian, Black, Latino faces there too. So many people forget to do that and it's just the little things that make it right.

(okay the black guy is still the best friend and the hero is still bland white-bread but it's the little steps!)

Yay! A convert! It starts out a bit slow, but you're in for some pretty sweet episodes.

The lack of female characters is problematic for me too (I don't see why some of the bit parts couldn't be played by women). But at least it passes the Bechdel test in one episode. Not much to boast about, but we gotta pick our battles. :(

There's a black man who's starting to become more important to the plot (You'll get to him). I hope we see more of him down the line.
