I have gotten emotional over this show more than I'd like to admit. The scene with Michael at Pam's art show gave me a lot of feelings.

The writing staff of The Office is really great. Look at how much talent there is on that show - Mindy Kaling and Mike Schur jump out - but more than anything, I just want to take a moment to point out how fucking good Greg Daniels is at making television shows. Saturday Night Live and the Simpsons. Co-creator of King of the Hill, co-creator of Parks and Rec, basically in charge of the American version of the Office - it shouldn't be surprising that the show can be so affecting, because Greg Daniels is in charge of it. And it's no surprise that he was responsible for this episode. Greg Daniels is good at TV y'all

Yeah, it really was the crafting of the whole thing. Even though the show had had some pretty serious, more emotional moments, the power of this one was so unexpected for me. He took the microphone off and I think I actually said "whoa" alone in my room because I didn't think they were going to do that, and it was so much more striking than I anticipated, and then when Pam showed up and the microphone was gone of course, the way that was done was too beautiful. And I had never really considered the bond between them before then, when it was suddenly so obvious.

Yeah...sorry, I couldn't fit all of that into the secret, but I wanted to say it.
