I used to lie and say I wasn't, don't get me wrong.

But it's kinda general knowledge among everybody that knows me now. ):

Have some intelligence. Clearly I only meant over the internet. If you want to post photographs obviously that'll make it clear, but if you don't how is anyone supposed to know? Or do we announce what race we are to new friends now.

Well, once you get to know people, you talk. Culture does play a huge role in your life. Even "what did you eat today?" is like, all asian food, and then people ask, you know?

I don't see why it's important. Taking your example: non-asian Fangirls seem to live off asian food and products. They'd be your fetishists.

For people you've known long enough to trust I can understand, but if someone seems fannish enough to do that why let on? Especially if you speak from experience.

Sometimes people just ask because they're curious. I've been assumed to be Caucasian by lots of people, and hey, if they don't ask, I'm fine with that.

My LJ is public, and there are pictures of me on it. Am I the one in the wrong by doing this? Am I supposed to take them all down because fetishist/fanbrats might swarm me? I figure it's common courtesy NOT to squee at people just because of what race they are?

"I LOVE BLACK CHICKS. OH MY GOD, YOU'RE A BLACK CHICK. I LOVE YOU." I'm sure there are people like that out there -- does that mean all black people should never post pictures, either? Or that they have no right to complain if people do that to them?

So avoid answering. Common courtesy doesn't seem to be in use lately.

Posting pictures is your own choice, I'm not trying to say you should/should not do something or are wrong. If you put them up however it's become something you might have to expect. If you don't want to expect it, lock and filter journals with pictures.

Avoid answering how? "I'd rather not disclose that?" Then they're all "uhhh why? That's really weird."

Yeah, I mean, you get to expect it, sure. Still doesn't mean you can't get annoyed by it happening. ):

Ignore the question. Change the topic.
