4. Agreed. I totally understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea, I can totally understand why it squicks people out, but that particular rationale never made sense to me. My best guy friend is obsessed with horror movies, especially Saw, but he doesn't want to torture and murder people, you know?

19. I feel the same way, even though I totally called it :( Have you read any of the Post-Deathly Hallows fics? Some of them give much needed closure to poor George (which was one of the things that really ticked me off about the epilogue).

21. YES. YES. THANK YOU. I feel the same way - about Riddle and Voldemort. Though we seem to be in the minority, we are out there :)

I've actually WRITTEN quite a few of those closure-fics...but it's just not the same.

I know what you mean, though. I'd heard about the epilogue, and I didn't want to read it, but I did in hopes that they would show George being okay, but he wasn't even mentioned. I think that's what made it so hard for me to deal with.

It doesn't help that all my Harry Potter-centric icons (since even owning a livejournal) are of the twins...the only ones I have that don't focus on the twins are [livejournal.com profile] shoebox_project icons. :/

Amen. Fucking Epilogue. "The Epilogue that must not be named", as some of us are calling it. She didn't even fucking mention him or say how he was doing or how his life was w/o his brother. It sucks.

XD Epilogue That Must Not Be Named fits it rather well, indeed. She did say that she had a son and named him Fred, but we have no idea how many children he had after that or who he married or anything...it's just like all of the sudden she's treating him like a much more minor character than he was...
